An Investigation of Protection Devices Coordination Effects on Distributed Generators Capacity in Radial Distribution Systems
2013
In the recent years, with the concept of Smart Grid, there are a great interest in integration of renewable energy based distributed generation (DG) units at distribution level. Along with a number of benefits, penetration of DG units in the distribution system imposes some serious challenges; protection requirements turns up as one of the most critical challenge in DG integration. In this paper the possibility and the potentiality of occurring mis-coordination between protection devices in radial distribution network is studied. The impacts of protection devices coordination on DG capacity are investigated. The penetration level, number, and location of interconnected DGs are used as param…

Recent advanced in bioactive systems containing pyrazole fused with a five membered heterocycle
2015
In this review we report the recent advances in bioactive system containing pyrazole fused with a five membered heterocycle, covering the time span of the last decade. All of them are represented around the common structure of the pyrazole ring fused with another five membered heterocycle containing the nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen atoms in all their possible combinations. The classification we have used is based in terms of the therapeutic area providing, when possible, some general conclusions on the targets and mechanisms of action as well as the structure-activity relationships of the molecules.
Unexpected synthesis by a non-classical Pschorr reaction of 3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1,5-dihydro-4H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]quinolin-4-one, with binding affinity…
2014
The reaction of the diazonium salt 12 derived from N-(2-aminophenyl)-N,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamide with copper sulfate and sodium chloride in the presence of ascorbic acid afforded the unexpected products 3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1,5-dihydro-4H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]¬quinolin-4-one (17) and N-methyl-2-(3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)aniline (19), accompanied by N-(2-chlorophenyl)-N,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamide (18). Products 17 and 19 are formed via a non-classical Pschorr reaction. The formation of 17 represents an alternative to the literature synthesis of this biologically active compound. The molecular structure of 18 was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray ana…
Oxidative C-N fusion of pyridinyl-substituted porphyrins.
2018
International audience; The mild (electro) chemical oxidation of pyridin-2-ylthio-meso substituted Ni(II) porphyrins affords C-N fused cationic and dicationic pyridinium-based derivatives. These porphyrins are fully characterized and the molecular structure of one of them was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. A mechanism for the intramolecular oxidative C-N coupling is proposed based on theoretical calculations and cyclic voltammetry analyses.
Modulation of Hedgehog target gene expression by the Fused serine-threonine kinase in wing imaginal discs
1998
0925-4773 doi: DOI: 10.1016/S0925-4773(98)00130-0; The Fused (Fu) serine–threonine kinase and the Suppressor of fused (Su(fu)) product are part of the Hedgehog (Hh) signalling pathway both in embryos and in imaginal discs. In wing imaginal discs, the Hh signal induces Cubitus interruptus (Ci) accumulation and activates patched (ptc) and decapentaplegic (dpp) expression along the anterior/posterior (A/P) boundary. In this paper, we have examined the role of the Fu and Su(fu) proteins in the regulation of Hh target gene expression in wing imaginal discs, by using different classes of fu alleles and an amorphic Su(fu) mutation. We show that, at the A/P boundary, Fu kinase activity is involved …
A study of noise transmission through cylindrical shell using modal truncation approach
2011
International audience; The study of the vibroacoustic behaviour of cylindrical structure like aircraft fuselage requires the establishment of very large models, and the numerical results which can be obtained are often difficult to interpret. On the other hand, the study of simple structures such as cylindrical shells is useful to validate the criteria and tools that can be used to simplify the models of complex structures. The presented study concerns the sound transmission through a cylindrical shell coupled to a cavity and subjected to an incident acoustic wave. Noise reduction is obtained and validated by a numerical method which uses structural and acoustical modes. A criterion for se…
